Kennedy Ife was a 26 year old man who was relatively happy and well off. Suddenly Kennedy became ill and complained of breathing issues, stomach pain and sleep disturbances. After her recovered he became depressed and withdrawn. After various episodes of aggression he attempted to attack and bite his father. When confronted, Kennedy said that he had a seed inside him that was growing into a snake. Kennedy had tried to stab himself to get the seed out, as well as other forms of mutilation and would rant about the devil and the number 666. His family began to suspect that he actually was possessed.and had restrained him on multiple occasions. On one of these occasions they tied him to his bed and prayed over him for three days. During the vigil Kennedy began complaining of thirst, and died of cardiac arrest brought on by dehydration and lack of sleep. The Ife family was charged with manslaughter and false imprisonment. A medical examiner determined that the family tried to resurrect Kennedy by looking at the bruises on his body. The Ife family said that they were trying to help him and that they did not think he was in danger from the exorcism. Unfortunately the family was acquitted of the charges and set free.

**** this story reminds me of the Anneliese Michel case. This case was from 2016, and it makes me sad that the family attempted a dangerous negligent exorcism instead of actually addressing a serious psychiatric issue. Based off of articles and blurbs I found it didn’t seem like the family even tried to get him psych help. One article mentioned that they thought he had another personality but that it was a demonic personality. I’m mad that the family got off by saying that they were trying to help him. If Anneliese’s parents could be charged and given probation in the 70’s, Kennedy’s family shoul not walk free in the 2010’s.

The Willows Weep House is a haunted house in Eugene Indiana. The house was built in the late 19th century and has seen a lot of deaths inside. The property is located close to a burial site, and there have been suicides, poisonings and deaths from natural causes inside. The house is rumored to be home to evil spirits, and has alleged occult connections. The evil reputation is partly because the house is shaped like an upside down cross(or right side up depending on what way you are facing), the evil reputation is confirmed by the people who have lived and investigated the home. According to a previous resident dishes would fly across the kitchen at night and a rocking chair would rock by itself. Reports of disembodied voices, mysterious lights, shadow figures and general poltergeist activity has be witnessed. Many of the people who have lived in or visited the house genuinely believe that the home is dangerous and evil.

*** the upside down cross is not an inherently evil symbol. It is a symbol of humility and humbleness in Catholic teachings and I have made a post about it in the past. I personally do not believe the shape of the house has invited evil spirits, as it could be a right side up cross depending on which way you are looking at it and for reasons mentioned above. Also sorry for the long hiatus in original posts.

In 1987 the Tailman family bought a pair of bunk beds for their children. Once the beds were purchased odd things began to happen around their Wisconsin home. The family mentioned that they would have radios turn on by themselves, doors opening on their own and disembodied voices. The children saw an old woman who had long hair and fiery eyes. The family called a pastor to bless the house as he claimed that the devil was present, however things did not get better. Allen Tailman saw a figure who said “You’re dead!” In the months following the media began to harass the family and claims of blood leaking from the ceiling and that the house was a portal to hell. The sensationalized version of the story brought the family unwanted attention including a drunk man with a bible intending to preform an exorcism and threats of arson. The family eventually left and moved to another house where they had no activity.

This rocking chair, commonly known as “Thr Devil’s Rocking Chair” was purchased by Zak Bagans and is on display in the museum he owns. The chair is supposedly possessed by one of the demonic entities that possessed David Glatzel, who was investigated by Ed and Warren in 1980. The chair is on display in the museum, but the exhibit was closed to the public after visitors felt extreme emotional distress, and six people broke down in tears and started feeling uneasy. Bagans himself claimed that the chair has made him feel uncomfortable and disturbed. According to Bagans his friend ran out of his home upon being in its presence, and his dog growled at the chair multiple times before it was placed in the museum.

This photo was uploaded to Reddit by a user who said that they found a odd figure in a 15 year old photo. The user claims that they had constant night terrors and experienced paranormal activity in the house where the photo was taken. The user and their family cannot recognize the shadow figure in the mirror, and for good reason the figure has skeletal features. Many other Reddit users have speculated that it is either Bloody Mary or some sort of demonic entity.
